Las Vegas, NV — Nevada community organizations came together to watch Trump and Clinton’s first 2016 presidential debate, with over 150 people in attendance. People watched and reacted to the candidate’s comments on the issues brought up during the debate. There was bingo, interactive games for the kids, a taco truck on our corner to play off of Latinos for Trump co-founder’s recent comments about the Mexican community, and more!

Guests left excited for tomorrow’s National Voter Registration Day events and motivated to ensure people turn out to vote in November. Event attendees also pledged to vote and register others to vote in this election.

Tamlyn Tomita, best known for her film roles in “The Karate Kid, Part 2”; “The Joy Luck Club”; “Come See the Paradise”, and “The Day After Tomorrow” joined the group and fired up the crowd of canvassers, volunteers and activists. Tomita encouraged the crowd to continue their grassroots efforts and make a connection with voters in their communities.
